Reading: Simplicity Parenting, again. I read this while I was pregnant with M, and recently felt that I could use a refresher.  I've done things that, before M, I swore I wouldn't do.  And that's okay. Now that she's getting older, and becoming more aware of her environment, I think it's time to put these methods to use.

Watching: well, I have to admit that I watch a lot of crappy TV.  Ivo and I have vowed to only watch shows that "enrich" our lives.  We'll see how it goes.  I have to say my guilty pleasures are: Khloe & Lamar (I just really like them) Real Housewives of New Jersey (I know...it's a train-wreck and I can't look away) Bethenny Ever After (I LOVE HER and make no apologies for watching her show. haha) I'm currently obsessed with House Hunters International (I love seeing homes in foreign countries. Plus, the show gets me extra excited for our big adventure abroad.)

Thinking about: the move.  We're starting to put some of our plans in motion.  We've found out the paperwork and documentation we'll need for Croatian citizenship, business licenses, etc.  It's becoming so real. I am so excited.

Anticipating: tomorrow - Mother's Day! We have Ivo's goddaughter's first communion, then we'll be having our annual Mother's Day brunch with my family.  I am so excited for brunch, but sad that my brother won't be there for the second year in a row. ( he's stationed in Japan )

Listening to: the Counting Crows - Mr. Jones and Me.  ha!  The other night I woke up from a VERY realistic birth dream, where I was in active labor and put that song on and said, "let's do this, Mr. Jones" SO weird. And funny.  I've been listening to it non-stop since then. haha.

Eating: heathy.  We're going on a little vacation for Memorial Day, where I'll be in a bathing suit most of the time.  Time to get serious!

Working on: my business, more specifically what I want out of it.  I'm at a crossroads, and with a year left of booking, I feel like I need to refocus on what it is I love about photography.

Wishing: a dear friend all the luck imaginable during her pregnancy. She's had such a hard time getting and staying pregnant. This time things are going better than ever before, and I hope they continue going so well.  She's going to be the best mom, I just know it.

Also wishing all the mama's a very happy day tomorrow. I hope you feel special year-round, but it's especially nice to have a day dedicated to your job as a mother.  Especially single mama's.  It's a tough enough job with a partner, doing it without deserves a medal...or at the very least a big piece of pie. ;)

xo

Thanks to Danielle for posting and inviting everyone to do the same.

  2. I love Bethenny Ever After too...and the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and of Vancouver...and 16 and pregnant. I watch them all at night or during nap times on weekends on the computer. Totally my guilty pleasure. Don't feel bad about it :) Happy belated mother's day! I hope you had a super lovely weekend.
